In order to respect the rights and dignity of everyone, the Survivors’ Secretariat will not acknowledge or respond to any e-mails that are threatening, harassing, degrading, hateful, intimidating, defamatory, fraudulent, tortious, obscene, indecent, pornographic, or otherwise objectionable as deemed so by the Board of Directors which is comprised entirely of Survivors.
Whenever possible, please ensure media inquiries are made at least 48 hours before the requested interview time. Due to the sensitive nature of the Indian Residential School system, Survivors’ Secretariat reserves the right to request any questions ahead of the interview to allow the Survivors or other requested interviewees time to emotionally prepare. Media outlets who do not adhere to this policy may not be granted an interview.
