SIX NATIONS OF THE GRAND RIVER, December 5, 2023 – Survivors’ Secretariat held its Annual General Meeting for the 2022-2023 fiscal year at the Six Nations Community Hall this Tuesday, December 5. Secretariat Lead, Laura Arndt described the year as a “Year of Transition” as Survivors’ Secretariat saw important changes in terms of Leadership, Staffing, Funding, and the Investigation into unmarked burials. The four pillars of the Secretariat – advocacy, ground search, commemoration and document collection were highlighted at this year’s AGM and how they support the difficult and painstaking work to “Bring Our Children Home.”
