Join the Movement: Support Federal Funding for Indian Residential School Survivors

The Survivors’ Secretariat calls on organizations and individuals to support the restoration of federal funding for groups working with Survivors of Indian Residential Schools across the country. We would like to encourage you to join this movement by writing your own letter of support. Below, you’ll find a collection of letters that highlight the challenges faced by many Indigenous communities due to recent federal funding cuts. These letters emphasize the importance of this vital work, including efforts to locate and commemorate the children who never returned home. The letters we’ve received so far demonstrated a strong response. To add your voice, please click below to download your letter of support.

The Survivors’ Secretariat encourages everyone to update their profile pictures or banners to the “I Stand with Survivors” frame to show your solidarity.

By standing together, we can amplify our voices and support the work of Survivors.
